    Hi all,

I have these downlights in the attic - absolutely no idea how to replace the lightbulb. Pictures enclosed. I think I have to replace the whole thing? It doesn't seem to open up. And if I have to replace the whole thing, not clear to me how to do it, I'm not an electrician. Any advice?
Here's what's written on it: Greenlamp brand, LED Panel light CCT Change 6W 175-250V IP20 08/2017.

are they a serviceable type at all I wonder? Maybe need replacing

Shut your power off completely at consumer unit, take off white tape and connect new wires, don’t go near the wires at the top going into the connector block, just replace the neutral and live (blue and brown) in the bottom part of the connector block.

the hole looks like a standard cut out so a new lamp should fit in there, maybe take the old one to electrical wholesaler

If taking light off and putting power back on make sure you wrap any exposed wires well with electrical tape before doing so, until you come back

Yes, that's a single module, it's whole-unit replacement only! Make sure that the replacement one seals the hole tightly, otherwise you'll have heat loss from the air movement around it.

Thanks all! I've bought the replacement lamps. Let's see how easy it is to connect the wires… I've got only a basic toolbox, hopefully it'll be good enough.

you’ll just need a roll of electrical tape and a screwdriver

SWITCH OFF THE POWER TO THE HOUSE at the consumer unit 👍 (and don’t touch the top wires, just connect blue to blue brown to brown at the bottom of the connector block, wrap the block back with ET and all be ok)
