Paddy Powers are doing a special money back if you finish 2nd to it at Chelt today.......normally the kiss of death.

He's carrying a good bit of weight today too.

The kiss of death indeed. Time to lay it on betfair.

PP special = pretty much guaranteed to lose.

They did the same special a few weeks back when he won.

He's just one of those horses that no matter how much he looks up against it he always seems to come good especially over this course.

And so it transpired!! I had him backed as part of a treble in Chelteham today but thankfully he wasn't the only one not to perform for me (cos it's a bugger when only 1 lets you down :D )

Thats Our Vic screwed for tomorrow so!
    Money-Back Special
Take Your pick without Our Vic
If your horse finishes 2nd to Our Vic in this Saturday's Robin Cook Memorial Gold Cup at Cheltenham Paddy Power will refund your losing single stake.
    See site for conditions

I'm a huge Our Vic fan but I won't be backing him tomorrow, simply because...well I've got a wedding to go to all day..but all of Pipe's horses who won at Cheltenham last time flopped when short prices next time out. Our Vic is a worthy favourite but you should definitely be careful on this one.

As for Spotthedifference...well he's an amazing horse and PP did offer that money back special the last time alright...all those bookie specials are nonsense...I often see people doing the doubles that they offer in the morning and you have to ask why someone would let the bookies pick their horses for them...

Thinking about it... I have yet to see a "Money back special" win. Ever. Everytime I've been in the bookies and there has been one, it has lost horribly.

Again I say the last time spotthedifference ran PP gave money back on the runner up. It happens a lot.

amazing track> the cross country course, looked like an eventing deal, table fences etc. SpotTD Never figured, always at teh back, camera zoomed in at one stage and ppl said he was visably struggling. Weight had the measure of him, was on Apache Warpaint was tracking ok 4/5/6th for the first half then dropped away when pace quickened.

Note- all the top four finishers were bottom weights? possibly cause ground was very heavy? winner was 10-0, the very bottom weight? Nina Carbery rode a good race, battled but horse had nothing left for last 2 frulongs having got the horse up well.

I havent seen one in the last five weekends! On the other hand if you happen to be in a PaddyPowers between 12 and 1 check out the midday madness special, only two have lost so far, and the value is usually great. Last week they had crouch to score in ninety minutes at 2/1 instead of 6/4. Sorry to go off topic.
