Obviously Slick Rick is regarded as the master story teller but theres a few other songs i like with a interesting concept or story to them and it shows true talent to be able to do it, example of some good stories are the following:

Slick Rick - Childrens Story
Common - I used to love her
Immortal Technique - Dance With The Devil
Immortal Technique - You Never Know
NaS - Rewind
Blackalicious - Deception
Brother Ali - Dorian
Masta Ace - Unfriendly Game
BDP - 100 Guns

thats all i can think of at the moment, theres plenty Im sure ive left out, anyone got any songs to add to the list?

To be honest,I could go on for a while.Ras Kass,Raekwon,Ghost,GZA and Nas have dozens of tracks in which they tell stories.

Oh and when it comes to revisionist history,Ras whups IT.;)

I like nature of the threat but its flawed, you cannot say everything he says in that is true, if you do then you're even more disillusioned about Ras than i am about IT!

Ahem did you just ignore my use of the word revisionist?Of course Ras is talking through his arse,he just does a better job at it then IT.

and i cant let this topic go any further without mentioning:

DMX - Damien
DMX - The Omen (feat Marilyn Manson)
DMX - Damien III

those songs are so ill - they all connect up so well, DMX's seduction by the devil in the first one, the gradual realization of the mistake he's made in the second one, and then in the third one the understanding that he cannot escape what he has done and who he has become.

The chorus in the first and last one are absolutely superb and I love the way he does all the voices (or at least I think he does) - my favourite bit is when he's telling his son that he's about to make it as a rapper and his son goes "WATCHU MEAN MAH NIKKAH!!!" - so funny, you can be certain DMX's son would be like that

i really cannot recommend these songs highly enough - if you havent started up Limewire yet i'm going to give you the rest of this sentence to be moving your cursor towards the icon - and the end of the sentence is just about... ... here.

No, but the stuff IT spouts is plausible, his punchlines and wordplay are better. Some of the stuff on Nature of the Threat is acceptible but the rest is him attempting to rewrite history, not to mention "I hate whitey" aswell.

Aesops is a much better song, not really sure if Abs even counts. Remember seeing Aesop do No Regrets live, good sh!t.
Bigg Jus - Dedication to PEO '97 is good too. Probably my favourite song on Black Mamba Serums.

Albums...Constructus Corporation the Ziggurat in the same way Deltron 3030 is a story. Just a little more...out there then Del.

It's one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. The album itself only goes as far as chapter 5.
