    Hi There,

Anybody out there using the Netgear TA612V provided by Blueface? How do you find it?

I've done a bit of research on it and the only negative comments I've come across are that most of the boxes for sale are locked to a specific VOIP provider.

I believe the equipment provided by Blueface as part of their €99 package is unlocked.

Does the QoS functionality work well and how many SIP accounts can be configured? Two or more?

I got it on Monday - no problems at all (touch wood).

    Using NTL 2mgb BB.

I went ahead and purchased the Netgear TA612V from Blueface and have it installed nearly a week.

    First impression are very good.

Think the QoS will need a bit of tweaking to ensure good speech quality on the uplink while simultaneously sending data - working on this.

One major disappointment: others considering purchasing the TA612V please note - It is NOT possible to configure Line 2 for another SIP provider. The unit is unlocked but unfortunately there is only one field for SIP server which binds to line1 and Line2! Bit of a bummer! Don't know if this will be changed in later firmware releasess - Netgears Support website is a bit lacking in this area, seems to be directing users to Sip Providers, probably because most units are firmware locked to a provider.

Can you change SIP provider though?

Yes you can - unit is NOT locked to Blueface. All the ISP settings can be changed. Only "restriction" is that line 1 and line 2 must be with the same SIP provider.

If anyone comes across firmware or otherwise to allow Line 1 and Line 2 to be configured with different providers let me know please.

Can anyone confirm if I can use 2 different voip providers on this router?

No not with that router, but if you are with blueface they have sip forwarding. With this you can set up with different providors and they proxy the traffic, so you only need your sip login to blueface.
