Right, after spending the evening liquifying the foundations with some epic guitar action I'd thought I'd post my rig here. As it is now I've got the following:

Epiphone Les Paul Custom with a Seymor Duncan JB pickup in the bridge and EBow -> Boss TU2 tuner -> Boss CS3 compression pedal -> Ashdown Fallen Angel (60W valve combo with 2 x 12" Celestion speakers)

In the effects loop of the Ashdown I've got:
Boss PS5 Super Shifter pedal (Pitchshifter/Harmonist) -> Boss BF3 Flanger -> Boss DD6 Delay Pedal

In the future I'd like to get a couple of more guitars. I'm eyeing up a Fender Jazzmaster, a Telecaster, a Gretsch of some description and possibly a better Les Paul than the Epiphone. I'm also looking at getting a volume pedal, a Holy/Holier Grail reverb pedal, the Ibanez analogue delay pedal (I like to have a lot of different delays to use) and maybe a Moogerfooger Ring Modulator.

Good. How long will you be happy with your rig though, that's the question.

nice colection, sh*te carpet. I recommend jazzmasters but they don't have a lot of power when there destorted, tele's tho...;) ,and gretsch are pricey :( but incredible

Not much of a 'discrete pedal' man myself, but that's some pretty kewl gear!

The Jazzmaster is just part of my Sonic Youth/My Bloody Valentine fanboy worship. I'd be looking at one like this:

    or

    1965_Fender_Jazzmaster_sunb.jpg

As for the Gretsch, there can be only one. Well maybe two:

Pfft, grunge was more about the Jaguars and Mustangs. No, no, no, to me a Jazzmaster is Roland S. Howard (The Birthday Party, Crime and the City Solution), Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth) and Kevin Shields (My Bloody Valentine). Be gone the demon grunge!

    very very very nice choice.
beware of jap jazzmasters though..i.e be ready to change the pickups.
im saving for a US reissue cos the pickups are decent enough.
and ive played that gretch too. real nice sound. feels weird playin it though after so many years of playin something small like a tele.
my main set-up consists of one of these
    vaccaro astrolite
    instElectric_GuitarsAstrolite-resized200.jpg
mine isnt this horrible greeen though.its sonic blue with midnight blue pearloid pickguard.
    me using it
    Untitled-14.jpg
ill get better pictures of it soon.
its got an alluminium neck and i think they dont make them anymore.
got it custom made a few years ago.
you can hear a sample of it here in my bedroom demos
    www.myspace.com/friendlybacteria
    pedal-wise i have most of the electro harmonix range which i found in my attic(all original)..poly chorus/frequency anaylser/deluxe memory man/small stone/small clone..
but live-wise i have only really used an old ibanez distortion pedal(black no name) and a boss phaser..and TU-2 of course.
ill post pics of my full setup very soon.
    itll make more sense then!!

    V. V. cool. Is that similar to one of those old Travis Bean Aluminium neck geetars from the 70s? Certainly looks like a similar split headstock design. Tell us more, please. :v:

yes it based on the travis bean model. but this one has wood covering the alluminium neck. the early models had travis bean necks. but ive played both and i must say these ones just feeel so much better.
metal necks are great. no warping, no need to truss adjust, stays in tune, mad sustain, really light(vaccaro anyway), and looks great.
Yeah i think they went out of business recently.
the edge has one and so does eric erlanderson of HOle.
ill post some good pics when i get me camera back.
but it really is a quality quitar.
they have a website somewhere on harmony central i think.

Cheers. I look forward to the pics if you get a chance. Must say I had never before heard of Vacarro. I always liked the idea of those Travis Bean guits back in the day, though I have never actually beheld one in the flesh. ;) How far does the aluminium run through the body on your one?
PS I could not for some reason download any sound clip from your site.

Sounds interesting all right. I wouldn't mind seeing some more pictures of it if you get the chance. And btw moonboy, what a find in your attic with those EH pedals!

this says all about the neck. its the vacarro site but i think yeah they are actually out of business. tried to get in contact with them about getting a 2nd one a few times but never heard back..
ehm.yeah myspace just doesnt work sometimes so you could keep trying.
thanks for the interest. When i get myself sorted ill have pics of my whole rig!
