I'm no expert on these, but yeah, it's a coupe even if it has got 4 doors. It has a more sloping roofline at the rear than the regular P5 which apparently makes it a coupe.

Just thought I'd post it in case it appeals to anyone. Don't know how the price compares to what could be available across the water.

I have a P6, and even thought I'm new to the club in terms of classic rovers, I think the car is on the money. I have see m simular cars for sale in the UK for £6500. Rust is the biggest killer to P5's, but from the pictures she looks like she had a good life.

I am going to have a look at it at 3pm. Hopefully I will be allowed a test drive too?

    Ill report back later.:)

Mmmm - well it has nice shiney paintwork alright but I don't think I will be buying it. The engine idles nicely but there was a lot of exhaust smoke. There are a few rust bubbles here and there - all very small except the one at the base of the rear window.

The interior is what lets it down mostly - a bit tatty is how I would describe it - a large tear on the leather on the passenger seat and I don't know what it is about Rover P5 and P6 interiors but I just don't like them.
The car has obviously been resprayed to a good finish but there is a large area of drip marks on the left rear passenger door which takes from an otherwise perfect paint job.

Its a large solid straight car (no dents or dings) but a bit overpriced I think for its condition.:)

I was not offered a test drive :( so I don't know how it drives (its an automatic)

I am in the process of restoring one. It’s no picnic but there are well worth it in the end…….:D
If you are thinking of buying make sure you check the rear wings, not nice if you have to rebuild one :( …..Have a look at my resto project if you’re thinking of buying.. http://www.nevcc.net/Restoration%20Projects.html
    All the best
