    15 - Geordan Murphy
    14 - Shane Horgan
    13 - Brian O'Driscoll
    12 - Gordon D'arcy
    11 - Andrew Trimble
    10 - Ronan O'Gara
    9 - Peter Stringer
    1 - Marcus Horan
    2 - Jerry Flannery
    3 - John Hayes
    4 - Donncha O'Callaghan
    5 - Paul O'Connell
    6 - Neil Best
    7 - Gleeson
    8 - Denis Leamy

you may notice this team has only one change, because i'm of the opinion that this is a damn strong team anyway. what we need to do is

    1. if Murphy is looking off the ball or we need a bit more of a mover and shaker, we bring girv in.
    2. keep an eye on D'arcy - come half time, if he's looking shook and holding off on contact, take him off. Trimble into centre, Hickie onto the left wing.
    3. Sub Horan off between 40-60 minutes. we need him while he's fit, but he's a liability in the scrum against the AB's, so he starts to really lose pace thanks to the scrum exhausting him, we sub him off.
    4. when we start losing it a bit in the second row, Mick O'Driscoll on.
    5. keep gleeson in at the start (had only really had a good think of this thanks to DaveIRL mentioning it, and the more i thought about it the smarter it seemed) and have Wallace ready as an impact sub.
and my final, match winning suggestion for EOS:
    6. stop being a sap. :P

    re point 6: :D

trimble would get targeted and be destroyed if he ever went near centre, I agree though that someone needs to give Murphy a swift kick up the hole when he is not performing.

fair point Trimble has not the bulk or the wile as yet for centre. Darcy can always punp a few more yards with his legs and power but trimble has not got this strength.

It would be foolish I think to break the darcy Odriscoll alignment as they know each other so well.

Gleeson has no place playing for Ireland, I'd honestly have him behind Wallace, Jennings and O'Connor. In the 20 minutes he was on he showed why we were missing Wallace.

yes gleeson was very poor when he came on but Wallace was in real dire shape at that point in the game, that penalty he gave away was the most ridiculous thing ive seen in awhile he literally lay there on top of the ball because he didn't have the energy to get up

I'd have Heaslip in but judging by your rules:

    15. Girvan
    14. Horgan
    13. BOD
    12. D'Arcy
    11. Arnie Trimble
    10. O'Gara *sigh*
    9. Boss
    8. Leamy
    7. Gleeson
    6. Wallace
    5. O'Connell
    4. O' Callaghan
    3. Hayes
    2. Flannery
    1. Young

    16. Horan
    17. Best
    18 O' Driscoll
    19. Best
    20. Quinlan
    21. Stringer
    22. Murphy

I have two back rowers on the bench and a potential 3rd. I can see Leamy lasting the game but not sure about the other two. So that leaves two backs in the subs. With Murphy and Boss, you have 2 players who can cover the entire backline.

I would love Jamie too, seems I have an obvious Leinster bias but I see him play a lot more than the Leamy fans possibly, as they see Leamy play a lot more. A natural bias I guess;)

But whos mister fancy naming the bench too, but is Boss not a MAJOR gamble, c'mon throw him on V the Blacks:( :( ( meant to be a worried face )

    10. O'Gara *sigh*:D :D

Well personally I love ole Heaslip (not only is he a leinster boy, he also seems to be the only good thing to come out of a Dublin University team in god knows how long) but I have a serious serious doubt of eddie calling up anyone from the A's at the mo - so I might as well name a possible realistic team :)

Which is why I didn't name him in my team. Having said that, he's been carving up the Churchill cup with the As

Diamond, my main point was the bench. And Stringer was terrible last week which is why he should be dropped. Also, I don't reckon Boss will be such a gamble as you make out. Here's a player more used to playing against the New Zealand players (in Kelleher's case with) during his time with the Chiefs and the Hurricanes. He's also been Ireland's top scrum-half since New Year now.
