The 22 times champion county are making mincemeat of weak division 2 opponents.Looking forward to swift top flight return this season.Relegation last season was first in the county history.

Latest round of championship matches.Surrey had convincing win against Northants to maintain first place in division 2.Mark Ramprakash continues his superb form another 50 & 150.Ramprakash is now averaging close to 100 for the season also closing in 100 first class tons for his career.84 now and counting.

I here Surry are getting that international player who chucks the ball . Should win all leagues if they get him involved no problem, does anyone know if he has been banned at the Oval yet?

Malinga is the one with suspect action. He has been cleared by ICC although some people are still not convinced. To my knowledge Surrey have never had a player called for chucking.I would be glad for confirmation. The closest post war would be Ed Giddins. Before joining Surrey he had suspect action report at Sussex then cleared.I can remember a Yorkshire bowler(Cope)being called and subsequently banned also James Kirtley(Sussex)last season. Our committee would have a fit if that happened at the Oval. The 2005 ball tampering affair was a major let down for everyone in South London.

    God bless Kennington Oval

The Browncaps are now through to Twenty20 finals day. This evening they travelled to Bristol and slaughtered a strong Gloucestershire outfit.Once again the ever reliable Mark Ramprakash was amongst the runs with a rapid 84.Tonights exhibition of attacking strokes follows quick on the heels of another brilliantly constructed 160 against Somerset in the county championship. This game was notable for the triple century of Somerset overseas player Justin Langer. The Aussie helped himself to a career best on a batsman friendly pitch played in heatwave conditions at Guildford.

lumped a tenner on surrey before twenty20 quarters at 5-1, its looking like a good decision, their all or nothing attitude to twenty20 with a fine batting line-up should see them do the job. Ramps, butch, benning, brown and clarke are fine hitters of the ball! A decent spin attack which bodes well in twenty20 backs the batting up well.

Good luck with your bet 5/1 sounds good but Twenty20 can be a lottery though.Notts are hosting finals day at Trent Bridge so tough draw for Surrey.Leicestershire will play Essex in the other semi final. We have also kicked off the Pro40 campaign with a convincing victory over Kent:)

Championship round 13 - Essex beat Surrey by innings and 2 runs

Just when season was going so well half the Surrey side go awol for trip to Colchester then we have the shambolic Oval scenes witnessed by the entire country this weekend. What a kick in the teeth. The county's large catering operation will be out of pocket and Surrey are looking for compensation.

Surrey's members have been promised refunds.I am not an international member the county comes first.
