Can anybody point me in the direction of photos of the old harcourt line, i would like to compare photos of old and new, especially the section that is still closed.

i have been on irish railway news & fantasyjackspalace but the photos only go as far as the current luas line.

photos of the cherrywood viaduct would be very much appreciated

You will find some information in the Luas B1 EIS. The line followed the eastern edge of the racecourse.

Carrickmines Station and bridge are largely intact. I think there is limited evidence of Foxrock and Stillorgan.

There is an excellant selection of books in Easons on old railways in Ireland

I think there is a book dedicated to the Harcourt St Line

There is a book The Harcourt Street Line, Back on Track by Brian Mac Aongusa, currach press, there is pdf of the first 12 pages online

I've never seen a photo of the Brides Glen viaduct, but I have walked over it and under it while susing out the Luas plans in recent times, it used to be a lot more impressive from below but trees are now starting to cover the sides of the viaduct, its 5 arches in the style of the 9 arches. The line is fairly well documented and easy to access but it is private property most is owned by DLRCC. A copy of the RPA plans for the line to Cherrywood are helpful Area 15 is the one to look at

Best option it to go out on site, pm me if you need directions to find the thing. Google maps is most helpful http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=Dublin+Ireland&ie=UTF8&z=18&ll=53.241341,-6.137323&spn=0.00225,0.006373&t=k&om=1
