What you think of my weights routine?

Hi lads & lassies, I was in the middle of a weights session the other night when my brother(little!) stepped in and shot my routine to pieces claiming I was lacking between the ears. My session is done 3 nights a week for around an hour. It involves 3 exercises. Inclined bench press(70kg), bicep curl(20kg),and shoulder press(25kg). I do each exercise 3 times(as many reps as poss each time).and take a 2 minute break in between. Whats so wrong with this? I want to get bigger in the upper body simple as.
To give you my current make-up - 5'7, 11st, fattish stomach, fat ass, skinny neck.

    Problem 1: No back exercises.

Problem 2: Biceps, but no triceps? Both HAVE to be worked out....

Problem 3: Sounds like your routine is long term. Sticking with these exercises for more than 8-12 sessions, your body will stop getting benefits from it.

Problem 4: "As many reps as possible". 5? 10? 15? 20? Aim for 6-8 each time to get most benefit.

    Problem 5: No leg exercises?

Problem 6: Did I mention back exercises?

You should listen to your brother..... you need a more balanced program, and you need to work opposing muscle groups (not just for growth reasons, but benching/shoulder pressing heavy weight with a weak back is a definite road to injury).

Yeah, that's horrible, for all the reasons already mentioned above.

Start squatting, deadlifting, doing dips & chin-ups, bench pressing and rowing. Keep the military press (or start doing it if you're just doing shoulder press on the machine. Don't do over 15 reps, and if you want size try going in the 3-8 rep range.

That's what will give you a big upper body (oh and eating of course), with what your doing now you might be lucky to get some pump in your bicep and be ready for a tight-shirted night out on the town.
