This got mentioned in the Beerfest thread, so, and I hope the others don't mind, I thought I'd open the invitation to any B/W/S regulars.

There's a couple of us meeting in Porterhouse North this Saturday from 2pm onwards. If anyone would like to join us, ye're more than welcome.

So far it's myself, Bigears and guildofevil.

    noby.

I'm off to London this weekend, otherwise I'd be there

And I'm in London generally, otherwise I'd be there with big shiny drinkie bells on.

    Not quite that hectic, Blub.
It was just the three of us.
A very relaxing afternoon with a few pints of Porterhouse's finest. Nice to put a face to a couple of the names, discussing good beer and homebrew with some like-minded people.
Hopefully a couple more will be able to make it next time round.

Agreed. It was very nice to talk about beer without worrying that you're being a bore.

I don't think I've ever actually discussed the merits of chocolate malt with someone who had an opinion of their own before.

ah a kind of a meeting of beer geeks, could be a lot worse ;)

It was a very enjoyable afternoon with decent beers and decent beer discussion . Must do it again sometime.

The cheesesteak pizza wasn't bad either :)

FWIW, I'll be in Dublin again on the 4th November. As before I'm sure to end up in one of the Porterhouses for a few afternoon pints, so if anyone would like to join me, let me know.

That looks like a free weekend, as far as I can see, so I may be able to meet up for a pint or two. Can't be sure until closer to the date though.

    noby,

I'm not sure if I'm around that weekend but if I've a free afternoon I'll be on for a few beers.
