Just a little update on xtravision 360 rentals: we aren't going to do them for another year or so I think - the cost is too high according to the higher ups.

So maybe there's an online company that does 'em? I just buy em - keep em for 2/3 weeks, trade em in and it's like you've paid €20-25 to rent em for the two weeks.

Just out of interest do you have any clue as to why they might think its too expensive?

Are MS wanting to charge significantly more than Sony for you to be able to stock their product or something else, they would probably say something along the lines of not enough people have xboxes but how long after March next year will it be before they start stocking PS3 titles and there isn't going to be more than a handful of people with those for a good while after launch?

A friend at work said his local xtravision will start renting 360 games in a few weeks. Any truth in this funkyflea or just misinformed staff?

try the 6 week trial ( think metro is the code), but wouldnt bother after that as you'll hardly ever get a game.

Indeed. The trial is free, but other than that stay away. You'll hardly ever get a game, and even then the movies you get probably will be pretty far down your list.

Its all a case of uspply and demand. You put down about 10 games you want and the highest game on your list that they have available they will send. The problem is everyone wants the same games. Its good that you can keep it as long as you want though.
