Thats what Im looking at at the moment. Anything I should be aware of before going ahead and ordering it? I wasnt sure about the processor. Would an Intel Viiv Core 2 Duo Processor be worth the extra, or even a 3.20 GHz Pentium D?

Please let me know if theres anything I should be aware of or whether I should look at something stronger in some areas of the desktop. Thanks a lot

i told a couple of people tonight already

go to www.dell.ie/outlet - refurbished pcs at discount prices

im gonna get a 3.2 ghz processor, 2gig ram, 320gig hd, 256 mb geforce graphics card, and good soundcard for 700 euros.

the dell outlet store is the way to go - for ur money, you could get a far far better pc on it

thanks for replying guys, but im definately sticking with Dell anyway. I was actually hoping for general tips on some of the parts of the pc above, like the right video card or whether its a good deal, not a new pc system entirely. Cheers for replying though

be aware dell have an online ,discount store ,where they sell returned pcs, at 20percent discount, approx, there are good as new, you get a full warranty, you can specify extra components, thats a good pc ,i cant see anything wrong with it,its worth checking bf2 or farcry benchmarks on the graphics card to make sure its fast enough to play games you, like,in 6months time there will be dx10 hdcp cards out, ie it s unlikely to play hd content,i think you,d be better to wait for dx10,get a pci express card second hand 100 euro.I dont think its worth spending 200plus euro ,on a card thats dx9, vista is optimised for dx10 graphics cards.

You could also order from the Dell EPP site (www.dell.ie.epp) and get a further 7% discount. Just put down that you work for AIB or one of the big banks during checkout. They don't check and will still deliver to your home address.
