This payment cannot be completed because your credit card has been denied by your credit card issuer. For details on why your card was denied, please contact your credit card issuer's customer service department. You may want to try using a different credit card or choose eCheck instead. To do this, please click the More Payment Options link.

I keep getting this when I go to pay for an item I bought on ebay. I've sufficient funds in my bank, my credit card is mastercard and it has not hit the limit, I pay it off regularly and I've already made other purchases this week.

Any ideas? Need to pay for something fairly quickly.

i get that same message when i reach the limit.
i have a student mastercard myself
so far i figured it out, that u must not only take into account what u spent recently , but u have to wait for the previous bill to be paid too.
if ur in doubt u should call the number at the back of the cc, thats what the guy in boi told me to do anyway
    good luck!

I am pretty sure this is a security feature that is automatically switched onto your CC by the issuer. It happened to me before as I use Paypal alot, got the same message as you and I called the bank. They said it freezes the account to make sure the charges are not fraudulent and as soon as I said they were all fine, then the watchdog was lifted and I was free to use it again. Good to know the feature was there. :)
