2 30gig iPods, 1 iTunes, 1 iMac G5.. HELP!!

    Guys,

    Does anyone use or share same iPod as a housemate, family member, partner on same mac and using same itunes....

    We often have to restore one iPod back to factory settings, its almost like when one updates, the other will not comply..

    Any ideas?

    Yours etc..

    i use 3 ipods with my macbook and no problems. just make sure that itunes is set to NOT automatically manage music. then you will be grand

    I have used Media Monkey when using multiple Ipods its pretty easy to use and you can copy files direct from one Ipod to another (legal files only of course ;) )

    no, one user account, one itunes. all ipods are set to NOT automatically update from itunes. i connect in an ipod and drag stuff onto it inside itunes. no problems. i also recommend Senuti which takes songs from an ipod to a mac. good for copying songs from a friends ipod.

    If you keep all your music in the Public folder( and dont let itunes organise your music), all accounts will be able to share the Library!
