    ivey 300k
    booth 1m

David Williams opens for 1800 in the high jack

Booth in the CO re-raises to 5800,

Phil Ivey out of the SB re-re-raises to 14,000 with KdKh.

Williams folds, Booth calls 8,200 more.

    (pot~31,100)

    Flop is 3d7s6d

    Ivey bets 23k

    Booth reraises Ivey all-in

    What happened?
answering that would kinda ruin the thread since the whole point was that people could look at the hand without knowing booths hole cards...

I know your intentions are good with the answers in white, but depending on what background colour a person is using, they can be visable.
    use spoiler tags instead,

Ivey hand is painted and Booth knows this, but Ivey knows Booth knows that lol.

Its a fold for me Booth either has a set, a multi draw or complete air either way its a horrid spot, someone should do an equity calc.

I couldn't call, but that says more about me than it does about what Ivey should do in this situation.

It's a great spot for a bluff by booth. truly fantastic spot, but this massive overbet is also a great way for him to stack off an overpair with Ivey knowing that with the stacks that deep booth would expect him to lay an overpair down, and calling because of that. my head is spinning.

    must go watch that now.

i think (lol) if it was a tourney ivey would insta call, but in a cash game i'm not so sure (does this make sense??)

edit: bet looks a bit stupid - i'm guessing ivey is ahead at the time?

An amazing hand but I thought this was terrible play by both of them.

I think you are probably under estimating how much of a degenerate Ivey is. I mean 300k is just another round of golf to him

Yikes that's some mad over-bet, I wouldn't feel comfortable putting in however many hundred BB's it is with only a well defined over pair. But the board is so drawy, I think either Booth has a monster draw, or a set, in one spot we're in the sh1t and in the other we're probably a slight favourite.

Looking forward to seeing the hand, I really hope Ivey called and Booth was donkey'ing it up with the mad overbet, fcuk knows what I'd do....

EDIT: Obviously I haven't looked at the results, both because I don't want to know for analysis purposes but also because I don't want to ruin the entertainment value of the hand watching it.

    texdolly: UNBELIEVABLE

I think it was an easy call because Booth dallied so long about calling the preflop raise, looking to see how much Ivey way play. That to me would suggest that booth definitely couldn't have a pocket pair. If I'm in Iveys shoes I'm probably only worried about Booth having 2 pair, but expect him to be drawing most of the time. Then again. I'm a complete ****ing station.

    Ivey turned to Brian :
    Spoiler
After the hand Phil told me he folded QQ and I said "I would never fold that to Brad." He replied "guess I got bluffed, you play with him all the time so you know, I have never played with him." I think based on the knowledge Phil had at the time the fold was a very reasonable one. I thnk AA would be the hand I would be most worried about.

given what ive read about booth this is a clear call. On the 2+2 thread on this hand they said ivey had never played with booth before

Here is what Barry Greenstein said about the hand on 2+2
You people keep missing the key detail on the Brad Booth hand. Phil Ivey thought Brad was some random businessman. He said he had never seen him before (although Brad had played a few sessions on the table adjacent to the big game). Phil called me at the first break and told me about the hand.

At the next break, he told me now that he had played with Brad a little, he would have definitely called with his Kings.

Brad Booth appeared in season 2 for a bit, I would have thought if you're going to be playing for the first time on HSP you should have least watched the previous two seasons in detail.
