Does anyone know of any NL ring games that take place on a regular basis as opposed to tourneys? The casinos in Limerick aren't exactly card rooms! I'm sure there are some Dublin are there??? Cheers

The Crane Club in Mullingar is NLHE cash. 1-3 to start off, 5-5 sometimes later in the night. Thursday to Monday, generally only one table, but sometimes two on beer nights. Gets short-handed as well in the early hours, so it helps to be good at that. Like all newer clubs around the country, expect variance to be high.

BlazinAces http://www.blazinaces.com in Waterford is all NLHE. 1/2 (can play more like 2/5). Some 2/5.
Cash games every night. Between 1 & 3 cash tables depending on night.
    Gets very juicy at times.

The sporting emporium have NLHE cash games when there's enough demand, i'd say every fri/sat night anyway.

Gorey details are up in the Tourney section, cash games have been starting around 11 or 12 after the pubs shut, 1/2 PL, NL if everyone agrees. Would expect cash games to start a bit earlier now that theres a Tourney schedule. Games have been finishing at 6 or 7 in the morning.

1 NL table gets going in the SE most nights. 1/2 blinds

The game in the Macau Sporting Club in Cork City is NLH. I don't really play there anymore as the big PLO game died but I did sit in for one night recently. 1-2 with usual straddle of 5 all night. There's two tables every night and 3 on Friday and Sunday afaik. Standard is very poor overall but no crazy gamblers either.

Why do a lot of games operate as PL as opposed to NL?

To stop bad players from going broke quick and killing the game

I think a sticky for all card rooms offering NL/PL around the country would be very advantageous
