The deadest of dead rubbers to finish off the Super Eights...

Will it be Lara's or Fletcher's last hurrah?

    Or, frankly, who cares? :D

    Opinions?

Updates later in the day (if we're arsed!)

I'd like to see a little humility get pounded into Ingerland, but I'm not too bothered really.

    08.45
All change for England: Ian Bell, Sajid Mahmood and Monty Panesar are out and in come Stuart Broad, Jamie Dalrymple, Liam Plunkett and Ravi Bopara are in - Bopara to bat at No. 3 (which he fully deserves, to be frank).
    Ed deserved a go....

England won the toss and bowl first.

    Chris Gayle has woken up.

66 off 45 balls... if he's in the humour, the fastest 100 is there...

West Indies 110/0 after 19 overs.

That's the end of Brian Lara then. Run out by Pietersen. 173/3

    WI make 300 exactly

Englands bowling has hardly been world class either now. Their only chance is if KP makes 150ish.

Michael Vaughan with his dibbly off-breaks.... Englands best bowler!
    10 overs, 0 maidens, 3 wickets for 39 runs.

Probably. He'll be pushed to get back into the Middlesex side... 3 hundreds in a batsmans dream of a game, Langer getting 300+ for Somerset in 850/7d

I'd like to see Flintoff and KP to open.... just for something different.....

Yeah just sums up their lack of options really. In fact I think it was 3-39 for him.

    Yes, bad paste. Edited.

England going quite nicely. 93/1 off 14 over. Vaughan with 48 off just 32 balls. He'll screw it up and get out hooking soon enough.

Reaches 50 off his next ball, dropped trying a lofted drive the ball later.

Their goes Bopara enter KP. This bowling is rubbish he and even Freddy may go mental here.

Well I'm delighted Vaughan was replaced, but where did they unearth this all rounder.........coincidently, also called Vaughan.

Anyway, delighted to see a bit of Vaughan from years back

Aye when he is in form he is great to watch and like Fleming comes across as areally decent bloke as well unlike some other captains I could mentoin:D

Vaughan gone without getting to 3 figures again. 159/3 currently.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,300 ✭✭✭Royale with Cheese

Collingwood gone. 162/4, England in trouble.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,601 ✭✭✭Marshy

Flintoff again is dismissed in mindless fashion. Caught long on off sarwan. Finishes the tournament with an average of 13 with the bat and not a 50.

    189-5

209-6 with KP and Nixon at the crease. They need to step it up quckly.

Well he made 100. Eng need 32 off 22, 7 down now.

Amazing how much their batting revolves around one man.
