i tried tuning sky in on lidl comag camping satellite yesterday for a mate, but got nowhere. all i could get was 19east,although it was very jumpy and unwatchable. could not even get a beep for 28e on my digisat pro meter. tried it
with 80cm dish he had but 19e was only slightly better. i used quad shield 110db sat cable and cable run is very short anyway.will try next week again with
my dreambox 500s reciever and different lnb.

i think it is specifically stated on the box that it is NOT suitable.

Not written on my packaging or any other that I have seen.
So many people write about these receivers and dishes without having even seen or tried them, just opinions based on the opinions of others who also havent tried them.
The receiver should have no problem tuning channels from Astra2 etc.
If you are having problems with the large dish then there must be a problem with your set up or the receiver is faulty.
The small dish will be a problem as you go further west or sw or certain types of precipitation.
Check the large dish with another receiver. If ok then swap in the SL65.
If problem with receiver contact store for replacement or refund.

    No problem in South East.

The dish is too small for elsewhere except in perfect weather. Though the BBC/ITV should be OK on it nationwide as that is on 2D beam which is similar strength all over Ireland.

The system will of course receive any free channels from any satellite with enough signal when suitably aligned.
