Dunno where you guys are in the country but i'm in Dublin at the moment -in Sandyford and cant even get across the car park to my car because its been flooded that bad! Thunder and Lightening ever two min and mental rain.
On the way to work an hour ago i was driving on the Rock Road and was actually SCARED of driving.... it was like someone threw a white sheet atover the windows it got so bad. I'm beginning to worry how bad this is going to get....

We're not in Dublin, for a start.

Did you see the sticky at the top of the page?

Maybe you should read the damn thing you clown, this topic is about being flooded in during the summer, not specifically for Dublin though!!!

Yea i know.... Dosnt seem to be getting and lighter either. Its setting all the car alarms off outside lol

I was actually gonna post a topic about something like this thta happened on the M1 on Saturday. I was on the way up and suddenly it went from calm dry weather to hail and monsoon rain in the space of a minute. Got so bad everyone started to pull over.... myself included. I'd say there was about 40 cars in the Hard Shoulder with me. Stayed there for like 3min then everyone started to move away again. Drove about 2km down the road and it was like Spain.... Blueskys and Sun

    LOVE IRISH WEATHER

Nice to see ye getting a bit of our normal weather for a change. Sun shining here, might get out for a round of golf later.
Stop moaning and buy an umbrella, people on the west coast get this weather all the time and you don't hear them moaning...

    Karma's a b!tch!

It's actually quite nice here down in the midlands, though the thunder & lightning yesterday kept frying the power every 5 minutes resulting me not to do any work (you know, posting on Boards and all that!)

Nice to hear its a crap day in the pale. I'm about to cut the lawn myself, can't let that good weather go to waste.
Better put on some lotion, don't want to get burnt.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,124 ✭✭✭missmatty

    It's schizophrenic weather!

I'm around Celbridge too.....we were sitting outside in the sun at 11am having our tea break! Now it's cloudy, but no sign of torrential anything yet.

However it's early in the day yet :D

No pics of this supposed Sandyford flood? :)

We had the odd torrential shower yesterday. The sun's splitting the stones today though.

I don't trust it though, I think the weather is trying to lull us into a false sense of security...

Eye of the storm, as soon as we all step outside and bask in the sun's glory *BANG* 7 Twisters, a Tidal Wave, and hail stones will be all over your ass before you can say "Shíte! I better go inside!"

What's up with all this Dublin bashing?

Most people in Ireland live in Dublin.

I find it kinda maaaaaaaaad that all the Dubs be pushed into a "Dublin" forum.

all dubs dont have to go to the dublin forum, all topics specific to dublin have to go in the dublin forum.
