Personally I loved series 1. For anyone else who loved it too Season 2 starts tomorrow night on BBC2. Steve Coogan is superb.

I have to admit to drifting away from the first series as it went but I'll crank up me retro hard rock and put a donkey jacket on tomorrow night. :)

    1. It shouldn't be compared in anyway to Partridge. But as you want to, if anything, the writing is far superior to Partridge. I will admit that Partridge is funnier though.

    2. It's excellent and one of the best comedies produced by the BBC in years.

    3. The actor playing Raymond is brilliant and plays it perfectly.

I loved the first series and i think comparing it with Partridge is pointless..its a totally different, more subtle comedy.it might not be laugh out loud but is still terribly funny..steve coogan is an exceptionally intelligent comedian.

I loved the first series but felt the first episode of series 2 last night was a bit weak, bar Vicky who really knows how to put Tommy down (loved the Turkey bits put down :) ) Looking forward to meating the squatter Keanu when he turns up (looks like coogan is playing him)

I love that odd laugh of his that he does frequently throughout the show..and does anybody remember that episode when they had to go to some random dingy flat to get rid of vermin and they encountered that very odd guy (steve coogan played him) it was the funniest scene for me hardly i recognised him! wish i could get a screen shot..or if i knew what episode it was for that matter..will just have to go through them :P

He played him in the first series for a small part of one of the episodes. Absolutley brilliant. Was dissapointed with Series 2 Ep1 though.

Well tonights one was ok, I got the most laughs from the Kareoke scene especially Tommy's rendition of "On the wings of love" after slagging off the whole Kareoke scene :)

A rather too familair story tonight, the best laugh was Tommys hopelessly ingratiating neighbour.

The repeat of That Mitchell and Webb Look was the best thing on tonight.

What's happening tonight? BBC online says it's on as per usual at 9.30pm BBC2. Irish papers and aertel saying that some Godfather programme is on and that Saxondale isn't on at all!?!?

Are we going to miss an episode?

that's no good for me. I can only get BBC2NI. Is it repeated at all, or on BBC3 or 4?

I noticed this last Sunday in the listings, I HATE BBC NI with a passion, a passion which has reached boiling point. Its not in the schedule for Friday/Saturday.

Found it - Next Tuesday at 10 pm. Quite why they bumped it aside for this Gawd only knows.

Last nights episode was the funniest thing I've seen in ages
In order to make ends meet he has to make ends meet, so to speak:D

Twas a good one. Tommy is a great man for having a brilliant speech all lined-up in his head but with 'i-pod on shuffle' style delivery! :)

Tis back on tonight 9.30 pm
