I heard people talking about how much Irish people take it. I don't take it myself. Someone from DCU was on saying we're pretty much the same as anywhere else in Europe even though it seems as though we're doing it an awful lot.

Just wondering how many people here take Cocaine.

I have gotten to 34 without trying it, and have no interest in doing so from here in.

    Take it where?

No, I don't take it and never have. Was offered it but turned it down. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I move onto it though -- what, with marijuana being a gateway drug and everythin.......

All blow sold in Ireland is muck, it's not worth buying. I've had proper coke twice and it was class, I can understand why people would become quickly addicted to it.

Never tried it myself but I am seeing more and more people off their head on it lately and i'm not just saying that cause it's the popular thing to say these days, I really have noticed an increase in people using it. I've had friends who did it all the time so I can spot it a mile off. A certain "celeb" nightclub is full of people doing it, so much so it's put me off going there.

There were saying that the crowd that took the coke at the 21st on the weekend down the country had a good quality batch and that this is why they got messed up as the normal stuff would not be as pure.

Coke is god's way of telling you that you've too much cash

Took it a few times, waste of time and money. Gives people a boost to their ego and makes them think they're better than everyone. Useless drug, better drugs out there to spend money on.

I have never taken any drugs. A father of a girl that died from taking drugs (can't recall what drug) came to my secondary school with pics of her in her coffin warning us all not to take drugs. Anytime I was offered drugs or seen people take drugs the image of that young girl would enter my head. It just freaked me out so much I was always too afraid which is a good thing.

Never tried it and to be honest when I meet people on it (very often these days) I find it can turn them into total ****. Not to mention the ****e talk which they think is super cool in their coked heads. Then of course you have the mixing of coke, pills and alcohol at the same time, that's always a classic to be around. Wouldn't even be remotely interested. I've had some really wierd nights at parties when literally everyone in the room is doing drugs other than me, seriously it's put me off any drugs for life.

Never have, and never will. I've been smoking weed for a long time and love my mushrooms and crazy moments of salvia, but I would never go near anything bordering on addictive, especially coke

    Anyways, no coke for me.

I did it once by accident...

I don't have any real interest in doing it again... I talk enough bollox as it is.

So weed isn't even bordering on addictive, so can you explain all the people getting so pissed off and climbing the walls when there is a drought?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,076 ✭✭✭✭Kintarō Hattori

No but then I've never had grass or popped a pill of any sort. It just doesn't appeal to me and being slightly intoxicated on the odd occasion is enough for me.

I havent tried it either, like the idea of having a buzz without getting a hangover or feeling rotten the next day, but i don't want to go down the road of coke!

Weed has been shown to have roughly the same addiction rate as alcohol, AFAIK.

But please, please, please, please lets not let this thread turn into yet another circular argument about the merits/dangers of dope.

Climbing the walls? lol. Research shows that it's not particularly addictive... nobody I know has ever climbed the walls because there's a drought. They'd possibly be p*ssed off (although that's still extreme) -- but then, why wouldn't they be? They like smoking weed, and they have no access to it, so they can't do it. I wasn't too happy that there was a 2 week international break from the Premiership.

Yup, its just like taking a child's favourite toy. They will miss it and have nothing else to do, but they won't be a shivering mess drowning in their own puddle of sweat.
