I hope you knocked the ****er out cold for the atrocity that was Taladegha Nights!
That was such a crap film that I'm not even going to dignify it by checking if I spelt the title correctly...

calm down, he did make one of the funniest movies out there!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,503 ✭✭✭Makaveli

Talladega Nights is a terrible film alright but that's because he was pretty much by himself in it. Old School and Anchorman worked well because he had the likes of Vince Vaughn, Steve Carell, Luke Wilson and Paul Rudd to work with. His part in Wedding Crashers is by far the best part of the film. Also worth mentioning A Night At The Roxbury and Elf. Yeah Stranger than Fiction is crap too but his good far outweighs the bad.

This wouldn't have been in Farrells in Longford would it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,673 ✭✭✭✭senordingdong

I hated Talladega Nights because it was pretty much Anchorman, in a Nascar circuit.

    Loved Blades of Glory though.

You know, I enjoyed Talledega Nights. Maybe I just wasn't expecting something as great as Anchorman, but it had its moments. Gary Cole stole just about every scene he was in too.

He's seemingly looking for his ancestors!
He was posng for pictures and suppose to be dead sound, although he was being swamped with people towards end of night. Most peolpe of a certain age had no idea who he was!

was in longford today for work and a girl we met was telling us about him seeminly he was in longford tracing his ancestors looking for farrells his name was originally spelt with an A and he was staying in the owners of the pub that they were drinking in.she had a few pics of him on her fone and reckons he was bang on and once he got to the party he was more up 4 a laugh(probably half jarred and people were hero worshipping).he has an afro at the moment(not quiet but the hair is fairly overgrown)

Apparently around Sligo now.. keeping my eyes out for him.

My personal opinion.. used to think he could do no wrong but he's starting to go the same way as Ben Stiller. Too many "bit parts" and poor film choices ('Blades Of Glory', 'Talledega Nights', 'Bewitched' etc.) but he really impressed me in 'Stranger Than Fiction'.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,669 ✭✭✭mukki

there is a woman on Ray D'arcy now talking about him, she met him last night too

Ha that's awesome, he seems like a great guy! Can't imagine many actors doing that!

And what's with all this Talladega Nights bashing? I thought it was funny, not his best but I still laughed. Alot.
