    Hi

A friend of mine from Dublin is trying to organise a Stag Party for April-ish

The groom does not want to leave country and would prefer if it was not too far from the pale ... He also wants some sort of activities e.g Go-Karting , Shooting , Archery etc. ( as well as the usual drinking activities )

Anyone got any links to good leisure places or hotels that would put on such activities or anyone any recommendations etc.

    Thanks

Leeson street ...not much activities there other than nite clubs , wine bars , strip clubs and drinking.

Funtasia looks like its for kiddies ... doubt a load of lads on a stag would be welcome ...

Any other helpful souls out there ?

You could always go paintballing up the Wicklow Mountains and then head to town somewhere.

That trabolgan place down in Cork where they imprison all the foreigners. They have gokarts - quads - archery - Golf, all of them are fairly half arsed and lame, I haven't been there since I where a kid though.

pallaskarting.com in co Galway is supposed to be the best in the country, You could also go sea fishing and then go out in Galway.

Or you could tell your friend to stop being such a dry balls and go somewhere fun for he's stag.

Deep sea fishing is a great laugh, but get a decent boat and a decent skipper. I don't know any, but there are a few out of Dun Laoghaire. Most boats will only take around ten people though.

You will be surprised what a laugh it is, if you have a decent group of guys.

    Then go to Leeson Street:D

Thanks Everyone for the ideas so far ... any more ideas appreciated

    Mondello Park?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Killary adventure centre in Galway. Great fun. It has activities like shooting, canoeing, abseiling and my favourite one, being pulled from the back of a speedboat in a big rubber ring!

    Try Carlingford.
An hour from Dublin. Small place with a few good pubs right beside each other.
I organised a stag there last year. Hired a house in the town, do some activity during the day at the outdoor center, a few good resteraunts there and a nightclub.

Actually biko got there first, but shock horror, he didn't biko the thread!

OP, I'd highly recommend Kilmore Quay in Wexford - a whole fleet of deep sea charter boats, plenty of accommodation and some really nice pubs and restaurants. And, with the motorway etc its not that far from Dublin

Ok what about puddenhill, clay pidgeon shooting, paint ball, go karting.. bar on site..

Then you would be close to towns like Drogheda and Navan... for accomodation

    And very close to ashbourne..

If they let you combine all those things into one then it's the coolest place on earth, drunkin drive bys. :)

    Courtlough is brilliant.

You can do target and clay pigeon shooting there for a reasonable price and have a pint a bite to eat in the club house. It's near Balbriggan.

I took a group of lads there for my stag and we loved it.

Carrick on Shannon is good. I was on a stag last year and we hired a couple of boats.

For a relatively small town, it's a very good night out and only two hours from Connolly by train.
