Its a bit of a let down tbh , there is no friends invite system , no list of lobbys to choose from so the game you join is decided for you, and the cars you have bought in the game are the only cars you can use online so people with better cars win. Also the other cars, there movement isnt as smooth as it should be...

I've had great craic with it ,I especially like the rear view mirror in online play. Being able to see online players coming from behind is deadly.

I'm sure there'll be updates etc to suit what people want in the game.

The sound is very good on 5.1 ,both the music and the sound effects.

I've only played online for a short while so far, but found it to be good craic.

I love online so far. just staying behind the group till the last turn and watching the mayhem and then flying ahead at the last corner to win as the others spin off :p

Love it online. Not being able to invite friends is a pain but other than that it is brilliant.

I had problems with the update also. Just kept trying and eventually it downloaded the full thing. Just keep trying I guess.

Sign in with a japanese a/c and download it, and yes the game is still in english!

Damnit the wait for this to be delivered is driving me mad - almost.

For what it is (basically a demo) its fantastic!!

wish there was a small bit of damage though, cars just bouncing off one another doesn't seem rite!

All the cars I race bounce all over the place. Does that mean the ps3 is far from the router, which it is.

isnt this essentially a demo you have to buy?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,484 ✭✭✭lee_baby_simms

It doesn't feel like a demo. At least 20 hours single player game, 2 player split screen, online races/tt. 70 cars, 6 tracks + reverses.

Above all its a case of quality over quantity. For me the graphics, sound and playability are all better than any other driving game on console.

yeah people can call it a demo all they want but..... what a demo!

i dunno, theres something not right about paying good money to be beta testers

haha, trust the guy with the flashed 360 to get self righteous about the pricing of video games. ;)

No ones forcing you to buy GT5p.

There isnt exactly a huge range of driving games on the ps3. And this is actually good believe it or not

One could argue that if you pirate games you've really forfeited your right to complain about the price of them. I'm not trying to berate you cos we're all guilty of piracy in some form or another myself included - just playing devils advocate. Anyway thats beside the point.

I guess people are eating it up GT5p main cos its got the Gran Turismo name and its a great game. I can see how it can be interpreted as a cheeky turnstile on behalf of Sony but the public have been given the option to get a bit of GT5 now rather than wait for another year. Most people are happy with this.

If the public buy it and enjoy playing it well then whether it represents true value for money kinda comes second.

id be fairly sure i spend more on games than 95% of the video game consumers on the planet to be honest, so ill complain about prices if i like :p
