Just in time for our first birthday!
If last year is anything to go by we'll have a full house for the week. You can pre-register on the site if you want to.

is there a need to come in early for the 100euro freezeouts to be sure of a place or will there be enough room for late regers

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 487 ✭✭Theeglinton

Last year we were hectic for most of the week. We do accept late reg (first three levels) but I'd recommend coming as early as you can. You can always reg and then go for some dinner or something and come back. At least you'll be guaranteed a seat then.

    Dear Eglington

Can you tell me how many levels on day one or how many players we will play down too.

I want to gauge what time we will be playing too. I turn into a pumpkin and grow two heads after 3am.

We'll be playing nine levels on the Friday. So at the end of 400/800 we'll finish. This may be altered slightly on the day if players all agree but as it stands it's nine levels.

Also, I'd like to warn you that it is one player per hand so you'll have to make sure one of your heads has no input in the tournament!!

Why would you think it's an error? The 150/300 level is repeated for the introduction of the antes.

There'll be a press release with a full list of venues/dates for the IPT shortly. I dont have all the info so I dont want to say anything in case it's wrong.

The blinds levels for the main event are as you see them. It's a good structure with lots of play. It's a two-day event with €2,000 added - not too shabby for a €350 freezeout.

Festival has kicked off today with the €20 rebuy. We're expecting good numbers for the nightly freezeouts so register early to guarantee a place. We're open from 4pm so you can pop in and register and then come back that evening if you want.

This is probably the most ridiculous question you'll be asked here about your festival games next week....

Do you have or get any preferential treatment form any of the cab or taxi company's in Galway...re: ordering and getting a taxi from the club...?....It'll be pretty busy there next week.... might have a few drinks.....!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 487 ✭✭Theeglinton

Blind Levels for the €100+15 have been changed to 20 minutes in order to keep them from running too late. There will be no antes for these tournaments.

    Hey,

We do have a 4.30pm tournament on Friday and Saturday. They weren't added until after I posted this and I forgot to change the schedule. I will be the €20 rebuy like all the other days.

If we get enough intereset we'll run satellites from about 6pm. They'll probably be €40/€80 single tables.

Last night was crazy for the first day of the races so I can only presume it will be busier from today onwards. Just remember to bring passport/driving liscence if it's your first time here!!!

See you all this week hopefully,

    Caroline

    Hey guys,

Just an update because the news function on our site seems to be failing me.
We've 52 entries for tonights tournament which is great considering the rain!!
Padraig Parkinson and Rory Liffey are playing as well so the standard is good. We're getting a lot of pre-registrations for Friday's tournament so if you want to put your name down, you can post here and I'll register you.

    Registered and registered!

We're getting a lot of enquiries about Fridays tournament so I'm hoping we'll have a full house.
Just to let everyone know that reg closes at 10.30pm SHARP. If you're not registered before then you wont be able to play. We are strict with our times so don't be offended. but there'll be loads of side action if you dont make it in.

    Yeah no problem.

Does everyone know how to get here? Quick directions are:
    • Go towards Shop Street from Eyre Square
    • Turn right at the top by Brown Thomas instead of going down Shop Street.
    • We're on the right hand side towards the end, between Conlons restaurant and Sam Baileys.
Nearest nightclub is GPO if you forget the directions.
