Audix Fusion series any good?

    Hi Lads,

    I need to buy a couple of new mikes my first choice will be the

    Shure Beta57 A

    and the beyerdynamic opus 66.

    but checking in Thomann i found this set from audix:

    anybody tried or own those kind of microphones?

    yeah my drummer has the set with two condensers a kick and 3 tom/snare mics.

    I think they're great value for money- i like the condensor and the mics on toms. the kick isn't great- kinda muddy and unclear and the tom mics aren't fantastic on snare- i dunno why, i just didn't really like it.
    I've recorded with them a good few times now and i liked the results- the cymbals were nice and clear without being too harsh and top-end heavy and the toms had a nice tone- kinda warm sounding.
    Overall they're nice and for the money you could do alot worse- especially if you buy them in the US- you can probably get them for half the euro price if you search and get someone to carry them over for you.
