If you are made redundant are you entitled to any outstanding holidays and/ or payment in lieu?
If you are paid in lieu can you sign on straight away?

    Thanks in advance

Yup, you are entitled to your holidays and/or payment, you can sign on as soon as your last day employed with the company which is usually on your P45

No worries, and by last day, I mean the day after that of course :)

I went through the whole redundancy thing recently enough myself, luckily I didn't have to sign on

You may not be entitled to Social Welfare straight away, they will calculate that based on your Redundancy Payment. But you must sign on the first day you are unemployed and register the start of your "non-working career"...
