Has anyone here tried the new Studio Sculpt foundation?

It's bloody fantastic, it's really moisturising without looking oily (just looks a bit 'dewy' but not shiny) and it really lasts. Tried it today without any primer and it lasted all day.

Oh, no but sounds interesting. Is it like the Hyper Real foundation? Liquid with a dewy look or a compact foundation?

i have tried the studio fix for when i am heading out or for special occasions. found it looked really good, for about 2 hours until it slid off my face and looked like any normal average priced make up. but id be interested in trying this new one if it is as good as u say!

Yeah I always have to use a primer with studio fix, it's such a waste.
I dunno what i could compare Studio Sculpt to....it's gel based so it's matt yet natural and dewy looking.

Not sure if it's available in Ireland yet, it only just came out here in the UK in the past week and BT's are always a bit crap at getting stuff in on time.

gel based? i was having strange images of what it must look like.. sounds interesting though. had a look on the mac website :) ive been using the select spf 15 liquid foundation & its nearly gone, ill keep an eye out for the new one.

It doesn't feel like a gel, and it looks like regular foundation but a bit thicker, which is good as you need to use a smaller amount of it.

What sort of skin do you have? I have quite dry skin and make up tends to stick to dry patches in a horrible way on me :( But I'm really likeing the sound of this!

do you know if its oil free/non-comedogenic?

it sounds like what im looking for but i can only use oil free foundations

Boo, figures they'd bring out a new foundation just after I bought a replacement of my old one!

Combination - normal apart from my t-zone which is a bit oily.

Sowra - I guess it's oil free as it doesn't slide off my face but you might want to check that with MAC!

I use studio-fix and never have a problem with it sliding off my face.
Do ye use powder to set it after you put it on?

Liking the sound of this new one..myt be a nice change when I'm finished my bottle.

If it's something long-lasting you want, try Estee Lauder Double Wear.

I like the sound of this very much. But of course, like Gauge, I've just got a new Face & Body bottle. It'll take me ages to empty it!

It should be out on Thursday I'm guessing, if it's not out already. I'm looking forward to giving it a try. I've never liked MAC foundations before but this one is supposed to be good.

I've tried it with MAC primer, and Smashbox primer, and always with a dust of blotting powder over the top, and still the studio-fix slides off my nose and chin within about 2 hours. It just doesn't suit my skin.

Do you know if you can get it in Dublin airport?

this sounds interesting..im only recently a MAC convert! just to their eyeliner and eyeshadows! Never tried any other foundation except clinique..its ok, but no "wow" factor to it! I have dry patches on my skin aswell so have problems with makeup full stop! Think i had estee lauder double wear once but didnt like it!

So whats the damage price wise on this new MAC foundation? Worth the pretty penny i imagine it to be??!! :pac:

i picked this up yesterday (on the basis of this thread really, cuz i ran out of studio fix and figured itd be worth a change!)
its 35.50e, and from what ive tried its nice. colours great, but havent had a chance to wear it for a day so ill let yas know!

i have been using revlon colourstay for a few years now and swear by it!....it lasts all day, i've gone from putting it on in morning to straight out at nite sometimes...it just stays put! however it is very heavy and can dry out your skin if you dont moisturise every day! but seriously worth looking into...get it in boots and most chemists in like 8 different shades and its only 17euro...cant beat it! and hey if its good enough for jessica alba (their covergirl) its good enuf for me!

I had a look at this today and bloody hell, the tube is tiny!! I was in a hurry so I didn't get to find out if just the display was tiny or if the actual product was that size. If it's the actual product and they're charging €35 for it it'd want to be some kind of super-foundation!

got it the weekend, its gorgeous!! makes your skin look kinda dewy.. really lovely finish to it.
Tube is tiny though but a little bit does go a long way so fingers crossed it will last :)

The tube looks tiny on the beaut picture.. But its 40ml and I've been using a 50ml since last november so it probably will last..

Just on MAC make up is Select Tint available in Ireland? I love it but I bought it out foreign and haven't looked at MAC counters here?..

    I use their Mineralize Foundation.
I have normal to combination skin, just slightly oily in the t-zone. I think it's great. I wouldn't recommend it if you want full coverage though, it's not that thick!

I love this make up for a special night out and you really want your make up to last the night without checking it every 30min's!:) Couple of con's though, keep it away from any fine lines on your face as it tends to sit in them and make them stand out a little. It is too heavy for everyday use and you really have to cleanse well after you use it as it can clog up your pores, but apart from that it does excaly what it says on the tin "Stay's in Place" + SPF 10 :D
