Hi all I was just wondering if I would be eligible to claim the for the dole.
I dropped out of College before Christmas with the intention of returning next September doing a different course. I have been looking for a jobv for quite some time with no luck . I am getting no money from my parents who I live with and was wondering if I would be entitled to the Unemployment Benefit.
I have worked in the past and have payed tax.
Thank you all in advance for your answers.

yes of course you are entitled to get the dole. if you have worked before and paid PRSI

go and sign on straight away, you should have done that as soon as you dropped out of college. you could have been getting it every week since you dropped out

it might be in your favour to show them some proof that you have been looking for work. good luck

    .
It's not as simple as having worked in the past and have had tax paid.

    Check the criteria yourself.
