    Is the name and address correct? Only UPC...

    I wonder if this will be done for the UPC branded boxes or only the NTL / Chorus ones.

    It says only the NTL branded ones in the accompanied letter.

    According to the scanned letter the OP posted, only NTL ones.

    Hopefully this is the begining of the end for the 'dodgy box'. As for sending out new cards it could be worse sky are sending out 90,000 new HD boxes!

    It is most certainly Nagravision 3, its been on the UPC stream for a long time now.

    Im glad tbh, even though i do enjoy delving into the workings of these conditional access encryption, i am sick of traders and every 2nd person profiting from the dodgy boxes as they say.

    It really has gone to far, and only for UPC taking over ntl i dont think it would have been stopped for a long time.

    Havent revision of nagra 3 already been hacked for the portuguese/spanish tv cabo network?

    People are already sending the cards they recieve over to the uk to be looked at,so I would imagine it is only a matter of time before they are hacked again,who knows how long though.

    So after installing did you get any new functionality such as Series Link or Dual Recording? Are you on 3.5.0.2 or has it upgraded to 3.7.x.x?

    You wont get any new functionality, its just an encryption change.

    Nope, its just for the small box not the DVR, I'm just glad I still have all my channels
