Was in 51° North in Carrickmines, they have a sale on all their ski jackets with 66% off, not the usual "up to 66% off" crap that a lot of "Sales" have.

Was looking at one jacket reduced from €525 to €180, waiting for the fleeces and tops to be reduced....

Think I might head out to the Blanch one myself tomorrow and see what bargains I can find.

Its only the jackets with the 66% off. Blanch do have it too. Other stuff is on 10-20% on selected items.

good deals cause you can wear ski jackets out walking etc as well
particularly if you pick a stylish one

and if the recession keeps kickin us a ski jacket could be used as a sub for central heating etc

They do have a pretty good selection of jackets in the Blanch one still, didn't spot any socks on offer though.

Do they have any low budget stock - like around 50 EUR, or is it all top of the range stuff?

All of the jackets I saw ranged from about 70'ish to 120'ish.

Cheers. Just my wife is looking for a decent jacket that is reliably waterproof - it's actually for a hike in a snowy mountain rather than skiing. Was just checking if there was a bargain to be found here.

Try TK-max across the road from 51° north in carrickmines, they usually have a selection of good quality ski jackets at a good price. I got mine there before christmas.

Sounds like more than the prices going south......

Not sure how they have their tills programmed to calculate 66%, but I just ended up getting a jacket for another €20 less than the 66% discounted price that they had on the ticket. :D

hey if you are still looking for a bargain go into pennys & get one of their jackets, €34 euro, perfect quality. totally water & windproof...i just spent a week skiing with mine and as a beginner i spent alot of time digging myself out of powder...the jacket stood up to all of this no problem. its got a proper snow skirt, plenty of inside pockets etc

In there again yesterday still a pretty good selection if you take size L or bigger. Picked up a great deal on a brilliant jacket. Snow pants are also reduced and so are ski boots! Looked like it was 50% off ski boots
