    Hey guys,

    I'm not sure you've heard of www.authonomy.com

It's run by Harper Collins, a UK based publisher. It's a site where you can upload all or part of a novel. People can than read and review and if they like it enough they can "back your book."

I'm currently at 6 in the rankings. If I get to the top 5 by the end of the month and stay there then I'll get looked at by an editor at HC.

So if you guys have 5 minutes, PLEASE check out the opening chapters of my novel and vote for me.

    My book is at.

    http://www.authonomy.com/ViewBook.aspx?bookid=7578

    Thanks!

I suppose it's a good idea but what stops people from ratng themselves with numerous accounts?

they have software to prevent that. I think people have tried in the past and gotten banned.

p.s. have you voted for me yet? :)

The book that comes up is Lesser Sins by Vineet Bhalla.

Quote: "'LESSER SINS' focuses on the tumultuous relationship between India and Pakistan and the war between religious extremism and moderation in India."

    Is that you, Memnoch?

    Yes that is me!

Currently on 1080 bookshelves. I figure I need 100 more atleast to break into the top five.

I was born in India but came here in '96. So I consider myself more Irish than Indian since all my formative years were here.

Seems like a book I'd be interested in reading, I'll back it anyway.

    thanks guys

but it looks like the "established" people on the site feel I haven't earned my place and are all banding together to keep me out of the top 5, so I guess that's that.
