Hi just looking for a bit of info on what the going rate would be for a one man covers band to play for a two hour acoustic gig? i have a good quality PA system, good equipment and can play a wide range of music to suit all tastes. I am currently getting 100 per gig is this about right? or should i charging more?

I'd say its about right but if you have a large fan base of a group of people that show up every time then I'd ask for more...

Theres probably no harm in asking for more, a guy I know makes about 200e for the same amount of time I think. That said hes playing in a pretty big bar/club, he is very good, knows a huge amount of songs and has 'fans' who go there specifically to see him, so I would say it depends on how much you're worth to them.

I couldnt really comment on the Limerick scene but I gig regularly solo in Dublin (sometimes acoustic sometimes electric with tracks depending on the gig)

And with travel and all I receive about 200 per gig so yeah were I in your position I would be seeking better odds than a straight ton
