Hi, I'm a runner looking for a break from the norm. Can I just show up and race in this as 'unattached'? Anyone know if there's an entry fee?

If you're a member of Cycling Ireland, you can take a out a one day license. I can't remember what the fee is. I think its €10 or €12. That's what I'll be doing.

Actually, I just checked the Cycling Ireland website. It's €10 for CI members. Non-members can get a day licence for €20, which is something I didn't know.

When you arrive at the event go to the sign in and ask about it , The race organisers will point you in the direction of the commissares who have a 1 day liecence book and numbers for jerseys with them.We of the commissar fraternity are usually late and then rushed off our feet with the 1 day applications and don't have enough pages in the book for it.
    have fun :D
You might have to pay the race entry fee as well by the way cann't remember the procedure for that side of it
