    Was talking to David O'Loughlin about this last week. He said its a bit special. Was it wet as last year it was dry and dusty and that was onething he said, it would be very different to ride it in wet conditions.

    There was great footage of last years race on a couple of weeks after the event stuck into a half hour slot after one of the classics one weekend, so keep an eye on Eurosport in case they decide to sneak it into the schedule again. Tough race, a real hardmans race, last year a clubmate of mine won it, looked extraordinarily painful to me on TV, asked him was it tough, he just shrugged his shoulders and said they're all tough. Must be great to be casual about winning an international race on the TV !
