Staying in Emmet place, so need a place to keep my car at a reasonable price, any suggestions??

Will be staying 3/4 days, need to car as will be doing bit of traveling so taking the is not a option

    Thanks in advance

I'm not sure where Emmet Place is, but if it's anywhere near a Luas stop and no-one else comes up with an alternative, consider leaving your car at one of the park and ride places on the outskirts (Red Cow for the red line, Sandyford for the green line I think).

Isn't Emmet Place in Cork? Google maps has no listing for Emmet Place in Dublin, but I'm not a local so wouldn't be too sure.

Not sure about overnight, but the car park at Hueston (sp?) station is one of the cheapest around the city for all day parking.

Don't know if I'd be happy leaving a car overnight in the Park and Ride at Sandyford or the Red Cow.

There is Emmet Road in Inchicore - possibly an 'Emmet Place' just off it?

If that's the case then it's a short hop on the Luas to Heuston Station. 24 hour parking is €7.50 (http://www.irishrail.ie/your_journey/carpark_information.asp). I think there is probably some sort of security there, or at least cameras covering the car park.

Emmet Place is off Usher Street, beside Usher Quay and Bridgefoot Street.

OP - There used to be a carpark on Usher Quay but I'm not sure if it is still open. There is another nearby on Thomas Street and one in the Christchurch area. Most multi-storey car parks do a special 24 hour rate.

When I worked around the area I'd very often find free on-street parking on Pimlico.

    Map

There was also a fairly big car park on Thomas Street too.

I wouldn't advise use of on street parking in that area for 3/4 days. If it is noticed as not moving by the locals skangers it will become a target. Pay for secure parking.

Fair point, I only ever parked there during office hours, and maybe left the car there overnight once or twice.
