    hi
i have a sky+box downstairs connected to my tv.
i have a video sender and i use my sky+ remote upstairs
    to change the channels.

i have a old sky remote. i tried using this remote with sky + box
    but it did not work.
i want to use 2 remotes - one downstairs and one upstairs for my video sender(want to avoid carrying remotes up and down)
but i am unable to make my old sky remote work with my sky+ box

    any suggestions?

Either bring the sky+ remote up and down with you as you go or purchase a spare one from Argos

The standard SKY remote does not work with SKY+. In any case how could you "pause live tv" with the standard remote:D

avoid Argos, they are way too expensive. I got a second sky+ remote way cheaper on ebay.ie

This previous thread details how to change a standard sky remote so that it will control a sky+ box. It works fine on mine. I can access the planner and watch recorded programmes and change the station on the sky+ box from the bedroom. But you cant record, pause or rewind as thsoe buttons are not included.
