I was a bit sceptical too, given the 1 feedback when I placed my order, but I got an email from the seller and he has a legitimate email address.

Anyway I paid with paypal so it is safe.

I'd imagine it's someone who has bought them in bulk and wants to shift a few of them quickly. Seems pretty legit to me. Maybe a pro-shop looking to clear a stock room or free up a bit of cash.

I've ordered one and will let you know when I get it. Cant go wrong...13.98 is the price of an ordinary towel so cant lose really

Anyone ever use one? Ive seen them in McGuirks but never got one due to the price and unsure if its actually that usable in real life.

Surely, if it won and award, it is at least usable. Whether it's as good as it states is a different matter.
With V-Towel already being voted the 'Best New Product' at the prestigious 2008 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Vicarious Golf products are set to become the new standard for on-course golf club cleaning.

Have one myself that the missus got me for Christmas. They work well. I don't use it on every shot but when there is dirt on my club it does a good job of cleaning it up. I suppose it is no different to having one of those small brushes and an ordinary towel but its just handy to have it all in one clipped on to the bag.

Good product IMO and as ozymandias10 says at that price you can't go wrong!

I saw that too. It still says 9.99 in the text, but the buy it now price is 10.99. Perhaps use the make offer option?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,848 ✭✭✭soundsham

thought i read somewhere the price was for 1 week only

didn't purchase, cant see the difference between this and the towel i carry anyway...

best of luck to those who did but from what i heard its no different fron a towel and a cleaning tool that all golfers probably carry

I've received an email with the hour asking me which colour I want.

My husband won one and, since he wasn't using it, I 'borrowed' it. I very quickly left it back - wouldn't be bothered with it.

Got my 2 today and got a couple of euro off.Perfect.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 564 ✭✭✭WillyWonka

    Got mine too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,051 ✭✭✭jimbling

    yep, got mine as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 281 ✭✭jimmystars

Got mine today and used it as well. Works well on the bag. Keeps the clubs clean all the way around. The only advice i would give is that you need to use it straight after your shot as the bristles on the club cleaner are not the hard wire that will get out dried in mud.
All in all a nice looking piece that works.

no better than the normal tool and damp towel so by the sounds of it ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 281 ✭✭jimmystars

Same end result as brush and towel but its just handy to have it at hand as i tend to not give my clubs a brush after all shots. Works well for me and looks good but not a neccessity on the bag if you have a brush and towel already.

Quiet happy with mine. Use after each shot where i take a divot.

Are you sure the clip isn't there? The clip is on the bottom of the packaging, underneath the towel. I had to remove the device from the packaging before I could remove the clip.

Heard of it here and ordered it on ebay. It was delivered by post in less than 24 hours!
    Very efficient service

I bought one of these and broke it on the first day, left it clipped onto my bag and it broke putting the bag into the boot of the car, then there was a guy doing a one off golf sale who kindly gave me another clip, so last week I left it on top of my bag (didn't want to clip it on before putting it in the boot) and it fell off in the house and smashed the other clip!

Is anyone else having issues with the durability? I tried to glue both clips back together but its not really working out.

Nope i just slip it off after use and throw it in the boot,no problems at all.
