Getting Wheels from UK to Ireland. Ideas?

I have just purchased four alloys for the Mini Sprite from eBay, at a fantastic price may I add.

Now, I am faced with a conundrum. How to ship them from where they are, to here in Sligo. Frankly, beyond DHL, my knowledge of transporting freight is limited. Has anyone any past experiences of getting wheels back over here, short of going over to collect them?

I got alloys on ebay in the UK for my daily driver a few years ago. The shipping cost between 50 and 70 euro. The ebay seller charged for and sourced the shipper, usually it tells you when you bid if they shipp to Ireland and the estimated cost. I'll try and find who shipped it for me, but there's people all over the web who can ship it. That was to Kildare, you can save money by using a forthnight shipper unlike DHL et al. I'd suggest pricing shipping to Dublin. If you have a friend or relative that can keep them until you can come down from Sligo to collect. Just a suggestion

Funny, just last week I posted a similar question. Another poster here (can't remember who, sorry) recommended shiply.com and I got a few other reco's too. Shiply came back with the fastest and quickest quote. £36!

Was for a nose cone and bumper, about 2mX0.5mX0.5m, 35-45kg? hasn't arrived yet mind you, but that's how much I paid.

You might get a good rate to Enniskillen, if you have any contacts there, from some of the big shippers. at "within the UK rate", as opposed to "overseas".

Paisley Freight - £70 for 4 larger than normal Landrover wheels last month, collected near Norwich and delivered to Dublin on a pallet. Had them in 3 days.

With some uk sellers on ebay its hard enough to get them to post even small items to here, let alone go looking for pallets and couriers...in my experience...
