    Hi Boardies

I'm 27 and my shiny new OH has just turned 25, so there is about a two and half year age difference between us. He has never made an issue of it, except to say he thought I was 22/23 when we met. To most people I look young for my age :-)

I'm worried that in time the age difference will be a problem for him...I am definitely alot more mature than when I was 25.

Are guys intimidated by girls older than them and edging towards 30? I'm worried he might prematurely judge me on it.

I'm scared of really getting to like him, only to be dumped in a few months because he will feel I want to settle down earlier than him due to my age or that I might hold him back from doing what he wants to do...

2.5 years is nothing. i wouldnt be worrying about it after all age is just a number.

i am 34 and my OH is 29, and it has never been an issue for us or any of our friends or families.

most of my female friends are 2-3 years older then their husbands.

    just relax and enjoy it

99% of people wont or dont care, especially for such a small age difference.

    When I was 27 I dated a 35 year old woman for a while.2.5 years is nothing!

No issues whatsoever, it's only a couple of years difference. I'm 31 and my gf is 35 and it's never been an issue for us.

lol oh dear OP !!! I doubt there is anything to worry about. I have an 10 year difference with my OH and we are very happy!

Enjoy and Viva la difference! (albeit a tiny one!)

I was expecting something worse than that when I saw the title! That is nothing compared to some. My and my man are the same age apart as you two and it has never entered my head that anyone would see such a small gap an issue.

i wouldnt worry about it all, sure 2.5 years is nothing really. I know a lot of my friends are going out with younger guys and are very happy! Age has never come into it

Fretting over nothing, girls seem to think 2-3 years is huge sometimes but it's not, especially at your ages.

OP I am surprised it's even entered your head that there would be a problem with this 'age difference'. I would consider you too to be about the same age. I can't see how this could cause any problem for you at all. It's nothing.
