I think hes about the only man who can help at this stage- ive posted here before looking to see if anyone had any ideas as to how i could track down the owner of a 1940s medal inscribed with craobh connacht peil sinsear gallimh and the name o` liam. ive tried the galway gaa, ads in the papers etc., it was suggested that I contact Micheal O Muircheartaigh but how do I go about that??

    Any ideas?

Yes, just contact the RTE sports department. They can get him and there is also the chance that someone else will help.

Forest, try Michael O Donohoe of Ballyglunin, Tuam. (His number should be in the phone book I'd say.) Has a vast knowledge of GAA and a huge collection of old programs, memorobelia (sp?) etc. I'd wager he'll find out.
