Chain Messages - Do you comply to them?

    So Ive got endless amounts of chain messages in my inbox and tbh they do my head in.
    You know the ones..." send onto a 100 people or you'll never get in the sack with anyone" etc
    I never send them on but am always getting them and usually the same one about 20 times as the friend pool isn't that deep.
    Just wondering how many people actually send them on?

    Edit: so where do they come from then? Who does come with them?

    As soon as i get one i delete it, i treat it as tl;dr...it never existed for me.

    I never send them on! Hate them! If it's one's that they want you to send back i'll do it, following it with a death threat if i get any more chain mails!!

    I change them to something which amuses me and then forward them.

    "Kissed" becomes "Strangled" and stuff like that.

    I actually think less of people who do pass them on.

    I ask people not to send them on. If I do get one of these health scare ones I usually reply with the snopes page discrediting it and no comment. Never get a forward from that person again. They probably think I'm an asshole.

    Some people think the only purpose of an email is for forwards.

    When I check my email and see one with "FW FW FW FW FW...." I don't bother read them anymore. If you do open them it will take about 3 hours to scroll down through all the emails addresses it was already sent to. :mad:
    Then they're crap :mad:
    I know my life will not end if i don't send it to 100 people, I will not burn in hell, nothing will change!! The people who create those emails have many many problems in life :D

    In the years BI (Before Internet) they used to be handwritten and you were supposed to write the letter out twenty times and send it on including a list of ten names of the previous recipients except that you added your name to the top and dropped the bottom one.

    As a dyslexic, I decided the dire warnings in breaking the chain were less dire than writing the letter twenty times, I binned it - much to the disgust of my friends!

    I'm still here :)

    What "friend" would send you something that causes you to rot in hell if you don't follow instructions, anyways ?

    Surely the safest thing to do is to not forward them, so that you don't put them at risk ?

    I've got loads of these over the years. My process is to look at the text to see if it's interesting, sigh when I realise it's just one of those stupid chain message thingies then I go ahead and delete it without replying.

    I should really set up a filter on my phone for those.

    Send this message onto 10 people and you'll receive a free gold present in the post in the morning... blah blah blah.
