Ho Congratulations - Had a guy called John Furlong from Curracloe for my wedding - a few years ago -was a very reasonable price at the time & did a great job getting the crowd dancing -

Have you seen Phelim Byrne adv in Wexford papers for outdoor catering - not sure of his prices?
Woodies in WEx do a party shop now - helium balloons etc ..
What abt hiring a car from Hertz for the day ? Get a pal to drive ?

The venue is my dads pub! So thats taking a big expense away! I'll check the wexford papers for that caterer you mentioned! Thanks:D

I was gonna suggest Phelim too, But there is loads of others out there who are considerably cheaper.

DO you have friends who have nice cars?? you could borrow one of those!

Hi - if you have a pub - maybe you can utilise the staff there if they aren't going to wedding - so maybe you don't need catering staff as such just food - Try Trudys Kitchen in New Ross -( sorry John Furlong is a DJ - didn't mention that )

The catering is very important to us and we want to do something a bit different. I love the idea of pig on a spit, something a bit rustic. Its just so hard to get someone good. None of my friends have a nice car, Ill have to look at my parents friends and relations to see what i can find?
What kinda money are we talking for flowers? For bridal party, church, tables? Im so Clueless!

HI - Try TRudys to see what they do - was at a function they did & it was like whole salmon & stuff. Good few years now since I got married - but the a florist in Wex town did the bouquets ( expensive enough) , got a local lady to do the church - Do you know of any Macra na Feirme or ICA ( not being funny ) ladies who might do it reasonably ? You not clueless - but I won't even tell you what I paid coz it was 7 years ago -
Candles for your tables ? Friend had wedding in ferrcarrig this year & used lanterns out of Heatons .

Phelim Byrne has a website if you google him - he is always advertising outdoor catering .

friend of mine hired a merc from Hertz for the few hours - wasn't too bad -
Make a list of what you need & don't panic ...
