Favourite Glee Character - and why?

I'm all about Kurt. He's hilarious.

I really liked when he took a drink to the face for Finna and then demanded a facial. It was brilliant.

Also, I liked when he came out to his father. I thought it was a really interesting bit of character development and was really well done.

I have two. Kurt and Sue.

I like that they didn't go down the stereotypical "gay character" route with Kurt (like they did with Mercedes..I absolutely hate the way her character is written and her voice is criminally under used). Yeah he's camp but it's not totally over the top, and there's real depth to his character. Agree on when he came out to his dad. So lovely.

Sue is a wonderful nemesis for the Glee club. Some of the lines she has are hilarious. Jane Lynch is a legend. I also liked that we got to see that she does have a heart when she

lets the downs syndrome girl join the cheerleading squad and we later find out about her sister.

Vocals wise, my favourite it Artie. He has a much stronger voice than Finn.

I'd go with Rachel, she has the strength of character a lot of people should aspire to be.

I realise she is the obvious character to pick, but the I fail to feel sorry for some of the characters like Puck and Quinn.

Em, fav character for me is probably Sue (I miss her when shes not on the screen!) or Brittany who comes out with funnier quips each epi! Cant wait for April!

I actually don't know if I can pick a favourite, I think in their own way they're all great.

If I had to though, I think Sue is brilliant, I love Jane Lynch in general plays her characters, they're humour is brilliant. As Chinafoot has already said, her lines are brilliant and it's a nice change when she has a heart in the series.

Other than her, I'd say it would be Emma, I'm not entirely sure why, but there's just something so nice about her. She seems so genuine and caring.

I think Rachel is actually quite a selfish character. She's out for herself and sees herself as the star of the group. Yeah she has the best voice but she's a real diva.

with her Cherios now that she has been stripped of the job, Will look out!!

Kurt for being Kurt, the football thing and coming out to his father took guts

Finn, for his voice and dealing with what he has to deal with, being the first to defy the social levels that exist within the school

I love Kurt aswell, his whole 'coming-out' dilemma was very touching, plus his 'Single Ladies' football routine is pure lulz.

I actually can't pick a favourite so I just said Emma, mostly because she has the same name as me:) It's really hard to pick actually. Rachel/Finn/Will/Emma/Kurt but I can't pick just one.

I love the wife Terry - she's fantastic. Some of her lines are hilarious:

Doc: There's no baby Terry: WHAT? Did it fall out.

To be honest I ended up feeling sorry for her a couple of episodes in. I thought I'd be cheering on Emma but I've gone completely off her.

The episode where she

becomes the school nurse is very funny.

It's so hard to choose! I went with Kurt, his storyline was the most interesting and single ladies was hilarious.

He's closely followed by Emma and Sue.

It's a toss up between Sue and Terri, but since Terri isn't in the poll (:mad:) I'll go with Sue.

Also +1 for Principal Figgins being hilarious. He is underused imo.

Rachel, because I think she's a very honest portrayal of someone that age who really wants to be a star. Yes, she's selfish, but not in an intentionally mean way. She's just so focused on her goals that she sometimes forgets other people are around. And I think her character has come a long way in that regard. She's grown substantially in the first season, and I think she's lovable, even if she's flawed.

And of course, I love Sue and her rivalry with Will.

I don't know why but her dogged determination is kinda attractive in a weird way.

Sue has some great lines, and Kurt too, but as I said on another thread here, Brittany is growing on me, and is my favourite, if only for the line from the other night, when she turns to Santana and says, 'Did you know dolphins are just gay sharks?'. I nearly choked with laughter at that one, the deadpan delivery, the pride she has in her ignorance. Comic genius, she and Sue get most of the best lines

Its hard because I like different characters for different reasons; obviously Sue, but love Kurt, Emma and Finn mainly. Will sometimes, and Puck for those great lines. Least likeable for me is Santana, Ken and dare I say it, Mercedes. Great voice but boring. I prefer Tina even tho she's boring too.
