Sellers (ebay) no longer registered

This isn't a problem as such, I am just curious.

I browsed my feedback as a buyer the other day, and among some of my older purchases, was suprised to several items where the seller was no longer registered, even though they had feedback of more than 1000, or in one case, more than 10000.
Most of my purchases are small electronic/PC items.
Why would a seller with lots of feedback unregister ? I think they are all HK/PRC. Maybe its some kind of local tax dodge ?

With the HK acounts I've noticed the normally run them untill they build up too much negative feedback then start off again.

In most cases I would guess any one seller will be well ahead of the game with more than one account running at the same time so as one gets hit with bad feedback they are starting off with another.

Some people just stop trading and close their accounts. Others may have lots of negative feedback and have been closed down, others may not have paid their fees etc and been closed down. Others may have opened new accounts and shut their old ones.

Traders avoiding the taxman could be one reason.
