I did two Heinze with small singles e/w and left it at that

Just wanted to say thanks Mike - I never did a Heinz bet before, but tried a wee one today after reading your post...

    I did a 3p e/w Heinz - think it was €3.40, and won €317.48 :D

I was waiting on the last race for an even better payday - I had 4 winners running into the last... (wonder if anyone could figure out how much if I'd won the last?)

    Selections were
    1.30 Any Currency (Lose)
    2.05 Peddlers Cross (Win)
    2.40 Weapons Amnesty (Win)
    3.20 Big Zeb (Win)
    4.40 Sanctuaire (Win)
5.15 Day of a lifetime (Lose)

All 6 would have paid €25,000
    Still delighted tho :D

Some tasty races on tomorrow esp at Lingfield though not sure there's too much in the way of long priced value to be had.

It's great to see mel collier finally gone, they saw sense at last, he signed off with a winner during Cheltenham anyway.
It will be interesting to see how fremantle gets on, he seems very knowledgable, he's a regular contributor with racing uk and used to write for the gaurdian newspaper. Hopefully he can be a success.

Did the paper say anything about the change or did Mel just fade quietly into the poorhouse?

faded or u can say went out with a bang picked 2 winners in the last 2 weeks 14/1 and 9/1. But more faded lol can't wait for fremantle.

I was wondering who you were on about Eddie Fremantle used to write for the Guardian. If you want to check his ability to find a winner (or not) then you need to go to www.guardian.co.uk and go to Talking Horses section of the racing pages. TH is a weekday competition (which I have yet to win) and the "best bets" of the day are included in the accompanying article. He left the Guardian a while back (November I think) so you have to go back through the archives to find his Talking Horses picks.

Just before the off, there was a big drop in the price for Pollen in the 3:55, I imagine everyone was jumping on for the fourfold. Since I already had money on Tom's pick, I put a little on Pollen . Then in the 4:40, Kusadasi's price dropped sharply before the off so I followed the money there too.

At that point, I was thinking of what Pointbreak had mentioned some time ago. If the RP money can shoot Tom Segal's picks to the top of the most bet horses within minutes of being posted and another horse overtakes him in the betting near the off, there must be serious money coming in.

Just something to keep an eye on in future.
