Look-a-like as a prop for a photo

I am looking for a prop that I need for creating one photograph. Twin barrel shotgun, shotgun or rifle. It could be just plastic toy, does not have to have any moving parts, batteries or holes in the barrel. In the worst case, it could be one of the items discussed here, but the price could be limiting.

Borrowing the real thing is out of question due to photography on the sea shore, in sand and also partially in the sea water.

I would like to see it before I buy it, therefore I am looking for stores both in Republic and in the cheaper north of Ireland, not for on-line shops.

So far, I have found (from the cheap stuff) AK-47, but that really does not fit the picture. If you could recommend a product or store that has something close to the described props, I would appreciate your help. Thanks.

An airsoft gun cannot be open to public view so therefore is of no use to you.I recommend that you just buy a €5.00 toy in any good toy shop.

Hey mate - not meaning to thread spoil - but you'd want to be careful with taking photographs with something like an airsoft gun in public - with you mentioning photos in the water/sand it sounds like you'll need to take shots in a public place. The Gardai will not discriminate between a 'prop' and the real thing if they're not aware of what's going on - it's easy to misconstrue and the last thing you want is to have your artistic process interrupted by the emergency response unit! :D
    Just a head's up.

Nice cheap shotgun. I know you said your not interested in an online shops but that's just to give you an idea. They have a brick and mortar shop down in New Ross. You can also order via phone.

^^^But take into account what these guys said!^^^

Thanks. I would really prefer a toy to an airsoft thing. But the toys are usually horribly looking from bright plastics to distinguish them from real ones.
It seems that the shotgun would have to do the trick.

And thank you for the information about using airsoft things in public spaces.

Some of the airsoft shops offer a painting service at reasonable rates and should be able to make a crappy toy look better for you.Quality Airsoft Supplies and Go-Tactical are two shops that offer this service.

You could also buy a toy gun repaint it to make it look better, and maybe even touch it up a little in photoshop or what not.

What does fit the picture you have in mind thonda?
I could probably lend ya something if your not planning on getting it damaged. A quick visit to the copshop before ya set up for the photo too, just so they know whats going on will help you a lot.

Be careful - as well as what the other guys said regarding bringing airsoft guns into public - it's not just airsoft guns - a crappy toy (technically that's what airsoft guns are afterall) if painted to look better/more realistic will be classed as a realistic immitation firearm (RIF) - irrespective of whether it is made of plastic/paper/metal or even can fire anything or not. Same rules apply.

Might as well get a good looking airsoft device and check/sort it with the Gardai beforehand - just incase any members of the public become alarmed...

Thank you all for your responses. A shotgun has been paid and I am another step closer to create the photograph. I will post the result here.
Thanks a lot for the legal (and safety) advise.
