Where can I find the frame number on my bike?

    ... given that it's not on the bottom by the crankset where I expect it to be? Is there a standard place?

    I'd have expected it there. My trike's frame number is on the seat tube though. What's the make and model?

    have you checked the head tube. Mine was there on a bike i had years ago under the transparent edge of the logo stickers

    I've also seen it at the bottom-front of the seat tube. It changes from manufacturer to manufacturer and era to era, I think.

    Hmm... looking again, the only number I can find anywhere is 999 on the top-lefthand side of the bottom bracket

    Headtube
    Bottom Bracket
    Rear Dropouts
    Seat Tube
    Down Tube.

    Thats all the areas that Ive ever seen them.
