We're delighted to offer a great prize from Special Olympics Ireland who have their 2010 Special Olympics Ireland Games happening in Limerick, June 9 to 13.
The prize for one lucky Boards.ie member is 2 X VIP Tickets to the Opening Ceremony in Thomond Park with 1 night B&B in the luxury 4 Star Limerick Strand Hotel on the night of Wednesday 9th June.
Topping the bill at the Opening Ceremony will be The Cranberries who will make a long awaited return to the Irish stage in support of Special Olympics Ireland.
Also lining out for the event will be Heathers and then The Supermodel Twins, Daghdha/Garvey initiative and High Voltage, all of whom are Limerick natives.
The Opening Ceremony will be a celebration of the athletes participating in the 2010 Special Olympics Ireland Games. The theme of the event is Hand in Hand and will reflect the true vision of Special Olympics – that being of people joining together to make the extraordinary happen.
This will be one of the biggest and most exciting sporting events of the summer with 1,900 athletes competing in 13 sports, accompanied by a team of 650 coaches, 4,000 family members and supported by a team of 3,000 volunteers
Individual tickets for this much-anticipated event are priced between €10 - €20. Tickets can be purchased from ticketmaster.ie or by phone on 0818-719300 as well as usual agents nationwide.
Tickets will also be available from the Thomond Park Stadium ticket office from 10-4, Monday to Friday or via their website on www.thomondpark.ie. Please note this will be an alcohol free event.
To be in with a chance of winning, simply leave a message of support for the athletes below - we'll pick a winner at random from everyone who enters. Don't worry if you don't see your message straight away - we premoderate all posts here
